This policy explains what personal information Point A to Point B Cars LLC ("we," "us") collects, how we use it and who we share it with. It covers this website, our text messages and our rentals.

Information we collect

Contact details you give us by phone, text or in person: your name, phone number, mailing address and email address.
Booking requests sent through this website: your name, mobile number, email address if you give one, the pickup date and car you asked for, your message, whether you agreed to receive text messages, and the date, time and IP address of the request. The request is emailed to our office. This website does not store it.
Rental application and agreement details: driver's license number and state, date of birth, Social Security number, insurance company and policy number, employer and supervisor contact details, emergency contact, and the same kind of details for any additional driver.
Payment details needed to take deposits and rent.
Vehicle information: our rental cars have GPS trackers, so we collect the location of the car during a rental. We also record mileage, fuel level and the condition of the car at pickup and return.
Text messages you send us and the number you send them from.
Website visits: this website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested.

How we use it

To answer your questions and decide whether we can rent to you, including verifying your identity, license and insurance and running a credit check.
To prepare and carry out your rental agreement, take payments, and send reminders and notices about your rental.
To locate, protect and recover our vehicles.
To handle accidents, damage, tolls, tickets and insurance claims.
To collect amounts owed, prevent fraud and comply with the law.

Text messaging

If you text us or agree to receive texts, we use your mobile number to reply and to send messages about your rental. We do not sell or share your mobile number, your text messaging opt-in or your consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share them only with the service providers that deliver our messages. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts. See our SMS terms.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with:

payment processors and banks, to process your payments;
credit reporting agencies, to run a credit check;
insurance companies and adjusters, to verify coverage and handle claims;
towing, recovery, repair and collection providers working on our behalf;
toll and parking authorities, law enforcement and courts, when the law requires it or to report a stolen or unreturned vehicle;
service providers that host this website or deliver our text messages.

How long we keep it

We keep rental records for as long as we need them for the rental, to resolve claims and disputes, and to meet tax and legal record-keeping requirements.

How we protect it

We limit access to personal information to the people who need it to do their work, and this website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any text to stop text messages.
Ask us to see or correct the contact information we have for you.
Ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.

Children

This website and our rentals are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
